ABOUT US

Why Mutt Heads?

Mutt Heads Pet Services started because of our love of fostering. We have 3 dogs of our own, and we have fostered animals through local rescues since 2014. We have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, breeds, energy levels and temperaments. Mutt Heads is located on a fully fenced acreage close to Sherwood Park, Edmonton and Beaumont. We are a small scale family owned and operated boarding facility. When we say small scale, we mean really small scale. Our facility only has 6 dog runs, so you know that your pup isn't just a number. We are a "one tier" boarding facility, meaning that the way we are set-up and run there is no need to pay extra for individual attention (no "V.I.P." packages). Kennel staff are the owners/operators, so your dog will get cared for by the same individuals each day. We will really get to know your dog(s) during their stay!

Mutt Heads is dedicated to our crew, particularly our late babies Lady Patricia, Hobbs and Phil. To learn more about them visit "Our Fur Family" page.

About the Owners/Operators
Prior to starting Mutt Heads, Cassie obtained her Bachelor of Management degree and worked as a Human Resources professional for almost a decade. Steven currently works in Emergency Services and works shift work. With his schedule, this will allow him to help people in need as well as spend time with animals.

Our organization is insured through ProFur and we both have our current Pet First Aid certificates. Cassie has completed the Karen Pryor Academy's Dog Trainer Comprehensive program, and Steven has completed the Karen Pryor Academy's Dog Trainer Fundamentals program. The goal of this is to make your dog's stay as comfortable as possible.
